The 18S rRNA dataset comprises 18S sequence of Lagenophrys sp. from Cryptocandona sp. (INSD accession number LC651416), those used in Liao et al. (2021: Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution 158: 107089), and one of Urceolaria parakorschelti (KP698204)."18S_mafft.fas" is one that was aligned by using the Q-INS-i strategy in MAFFT ver. 7."18S_mafft_trimm.fas" represents the trimmed version of 18S_mafft.fas; it was trimmed in MEGA7 to match the shortest length.18S_mafft_trim.fas was used to reconstruct peritrich phylogeny in Kakui and Munakata (accepted: Bulletin of the Otaru Museum).
