Land use influencing functioning of arbuscular mycorrhizal communities

Indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) communities vary according to soil properties and land use legacy, among others. In this research we asked the question whether and how differs the function of the AM fungal communities with respect to land use (cropland vs. grassland). The results showed consistent shift in nutrient uptake and transfer according to the land use legacy, which co-incided with community composition assessed in a biotest.
