Indian agro-climatic sub-continent is enriched with livestock biodiversity including both riverine and swamp buffalo having significant contribution to milk and meat industry. However, the diversity studies and breeding programs are very few in swamp compared to riverine type. The present investigation was focused to study the genomic diversity and selection sweep of the Indian swamp buffalo populations through the reduced representation approach (ddRAD).
