Postcard from Private Frederick Guy

Postcard from Private Frederick Guy of the Sherwood Foresters to his mother in Hull, postmarked 1917. The picture side of the card bears an image of a woman sitting in a chair, with a small photograph of a soldier in the top right-hand corner, and the printed words "I am thinking of you". The word "all" has been added by hand after this. The message on the back reads: "9pm Monday night. Dear Mother, We have just got back. I have not been in camp yet as I came down to the YM in order to let you have a card. I will let you have a letter at my first opportunity. I am quite well and in the best of spirits. Fred".
