资源简介:
Poetic translation represents one of the most intricate domains of translation studies due to the necessity of preserving both semantic meaning and aesthetic form. This article examines the problem of equivalence and aesthetic adequacy in poetic translation, focusing on the balance between form, meaning, and emotional impact. The study integrates both qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze translated poetic texts and identify key challenges faced by translators. The findings reveal that strict adherence to formal equivalence often leads to semantic loss, while prioritizing meaning may distort stylistic and rhythmic elements. Statistical analysis demonstrates that hybrid translation strategies combining adaptation and compensation yield higher levels of aesthetic adequacy. The research contributes to the theoretical understanding of poetic translation by proposing a balanced model that integrates linguistic precision with artistic creativity. The results also provide practical recommendations for translators, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and context-sensitive decision-making in achieving effective poetic translation.
