Acoustic data were collected to understand the variability of zooplankton/krill/fish distribution in the Ross Sea marine protected area. Data were collected from surface to 1000-m depths using a scientific echo sounder (EK60, Simrad) configured with down-looking 38, 120, and 200 kHz split-beam transducers mounted in the hull of IBRV Araon.
