Rest Areas

The Idaho Transportation Department's (ITD) rest area point feature class encompasses all locations maintained by ITD across the state of Idaho. Rest area facilities vary across the state, but all are ADA accessible with features that include picnic tables (with or without) shelters, trash receptacles, drinking water, trees and shade, traveler information and vending machines. Some of the larger facilities offer walking and paved biking trails, larger parking areas for recreation vehicles and semi-trucks, and Visitor Information Centers.
