This dataset provides optimal annual average nitrogen fertilizer application rates and irrigation amounts for winter wheat-summer maize cropping areas in the North China Plain under the SSP245 and SSP585 emission scenarios, at a spatial resolution of 1 km across two periods: 2021–2040 and 2051–2070. It originates from the research work of a paper submitted by our team to the leading international journal *Nature Food*, titled "Spatiotemporal co-optimization of agricultural management practices towards climate-smart crop production". The dataset was calculated using a method that couples agricultural system process models with machine learning models and integrates multi-objective optimization techniques. This dataset is reliable and of high quality, providing data support for optimizing nitrogen fertilizer and irrigation management for winter wheat-summer maize cropping in the North China Plain to address future climate change.
