Metabarcoding Arthropoda Strict Forest Reserves of Bavaria

Data of Metabarcoding of five strict forest reserves of Arthropoda in three different type of traps. (M) Malaise trap, (B) pitfall trap, (F) flight interception trap. Traps were used during three months from May till July, 

 All traps where in temperate forest of Bavaria. Mitteleich and Wolfsee are mixed oak forests and traps were installed in 2021. Schoenwald, Weiherbuchet and Geuderleite, where beech dominated forests and traps were installed in 2022. The target gene was COI and the amplification protocol followed Leray et al. (2013) mlCOIintF/HCO2198 using an Illumina MiSeq sequencing platform with AMPLICON library strategy and METAGENOMIC library source with PCR as library selection.
