<b>A High-Resolution Dataset of Compound Heatwave Events Under Future Climate Change</b>

we have developed a daily compound heatwave events (CHWEs) dataset from 1980 to 2100 under various socioeconomic scenarios using the latest high-precision NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections (NEX-GDDP-CMIP6) dataset. This dataset has a spatial resolution of 0.25° (approximately 30 kilometers) and includes two indicators: D (the yearly sum of compound heatwaves extreme days) and I (the yearly intensity of compound heatwaves). We compared this dataset with observational data from China (National Meteorological Information Center, NMIC), Europe (ERA5), North America (ERA5), Africa (ERA5), and South America (ERA5). The results show that both in terms of D and I, as well as spatially and temporally, this dataset closely aligns with the estimated values from the daily datasets. The 90% predictive interval (PI) pass rates for the CHWEs dataset in the five regions show very high values, with pass rates for D and I exceeding 70% at almost all grid points. The errors for D are concentrated between -1.5 and 1.5 days, and the errors for I are concentrated between -1 and 1 Kelvin, indicating low discrepancies with observational data. These results underscore the reliability of this dataset, making it suitable for global and regional studies related to CHWEs.
