This table shows data on innovation in Dutch companies. These data are the results of a biennial innovation survey. One survey covers three years, e.g. 2010 to 2012 (this is the reporting period). The last year in a survey is equal to the first year in the next survey. This means that the periods overlap in part.
The Innovation Survey is conducted among a sample of companies with 10 and more employees. The results are broken down by company size and industry.
Data available from 2010-2012.
Status of the figures:
The figures up to and including the 2012-2014 Innovation Survey are final and the figures for the Innovation Survey 2014-2016 are more preliminary.
Changes as of 7 February 2020:
The further preliminary figures for the Innovation Survey 2014-2016 were added.
The underlying codes of the classification of persons employed in this table have been adjusted.
These are now in line with the standard codes laid down by CBS.
The structure and data of the table have not been adjusted.
When will there be new figures?
The results of the Innovation Survey 2016-2018 will be published in mid-2020.
