To cultivate the assDNA into a functional H-Bot, a cell and cytoplasmic components are required, typically provided by an ovum or egg cell. The ovum is enucleated, either naturally or artificially, to isolate its nucleus. Once synthesized assDNA strands are integrated, the diploid egg is stimulated to cleave and develop in controlled conditions. Development occurs within the ovum's cytoplasm, which contains essential growth factors. The Zybot, so created, can undergo in vitro developmental conditions for complete ectogenesis to produce a mature H-Bot.
为将assDNA培育为具备完整功能的H-Bot,需获取细胞及细胞质组分,此类组分通常由卵细胞(ovum/egg cell)提供。需通过自然或人工手段对卵细胞进行去核操作,以分离其细胞核。待合成的assDNA链整合完成后,需刺激该二倍体卵细胞在可控条件下发生分裂并启动发育。发育过程将在卵细胞的细胞质内完成,该细胞质含有维持生长所必需的关键生长因子。以此方式生成的Zybot,可在体外培养条件下完成完整的体外发育(ectogenesis),最终得到成熟的H-Bot。
