Confinement-dependent regulation of smooth muscle cell function
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains quantitative measurements of human aortic smooth muscle cell and human aortic adventitial fibroblast function, including cell division, contractility, and migration speed, as well as SRF transcriptional activity under a range of experimental conditions. These conditions include confinement, exposure to TGF-β1, interactions with extracellular matrix (ECM) and cadherin molecules, and hydrostatic pressure. The dataset also includes quantitative measurements of collagen deposition, as well as YAP1 and histone H3 levels, within confined channels of prescribed dimensions. All data were generated as part of an American Heart Association–funded project titled “The Contributions of Cytokinesis Proteins to Smooth Muscle Cell Function in Health and Disease.” Measurements were derived from images acquired using epifluorescence and confocal microscopy. Image analysis and quantification were performed using freely available software, including ImageJ. All quantitative results are provided in tabular format.
