We investigated the transcriptomic landscape of human Treg in an autoimmune-associated inflammatory environment, i.e. synovial fluid (SF) from inflamed joints of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) to improve our understanding of human effector Treg programming. Overall design: Examination of the regulatory and CD4 effector T cell transcriptome in 3-4 biological replicaties of each healthy adult and child peripheral blood, juvenile idiopathic arthritis patient peripheral blood in remission and with active disease as well as synovial fluid.
