These data are the product of a LiDAR based tree detection algorithm (lidR) and are described in detail in the manuscript "Tree height controls mortality rate during extreme drought." The study took place in the Sierra Nevada mountains, CA and captures the crown level mortality of 1.8+ million trees from 2009-2016.
