资源简介:

Scorpions are arthropods that have a pair of venom glands located at their caudal end, a region called the telson. These glands produce a variety of chemical compounds, such as peptides and proteins. Previous studies have shown that these compounds may have pharmacological activities, such as antimicrobials, ion channel modulators and antihypertensives. Therefore, it is important to conduct studies that aim to identify and characterize chemically and biologically the compounds present in the venom of different scorpion species, such as the species endemic to Mato Grosso do Sul, Tityus paraguayensis. Therefore, the objective of the present study is to bioprospect, through transcriptomic analysis, molecules of pharmacological interest in the venom of Tityus paraguayensis.
