Pathogenicity of Salmonella serovars in swine

Five isolates of Salmonella enterica were selected for use in pathogenicity studies in swine followed by whole genome sequencing for evaluation of sequence type, phylogeny, and virulence factor presence. The following serovars are represented in this data set: Typhimurium (two isolates); 4,[5],12:i:- (two isolates); and Derby (one isolate). All isolates were selected from clinical specimens of swine diagnosed with histologic evidence of salmonellosis.
