<b>Tracking the Path to Cleaner Cities using Global Urban NO₂ Monitoring from Space</b>
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides globally consistent, satellite-derived Tropospheric Vertical Column Density (TVCD) of NO₂ from TROPOMI instrument aboard the Sentinel-5P satellite, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. The dataset includes information for 5,435 urban areas (population > 100,000) worldwide, containing the median NO₂ TVCD [µmol m-2] for each urban area from 2019 to 2024 (“Tropomi_NO2_TVDC_Median_95CI.csv”) and the geometric mean annual change in NO₂ TVCD [% yr⁻¹] (“City_NO2_TVDC_Geometric_Mean_Growth_Ratios_95CI”), estimated using Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) meteorology-adjusted trend terms. The meteorology-adjusted trend terms [µmol m-2] (from May 1, 2018, to May 5, 2025) and their 95% confidence intervals, are provided in the “Trend_Each_City” folder in CSV format. Each CSV file name begins with a number or “code” that corresponds to a specific city. City codes, their names, and additional information about the cities are available in “City_Code_Name.csv”. Spatial extent of urban sites (geodatabase) is available at DOI: https://doi.org/10.7927/brq1-xc29, Global Urban Polygons and Points Dataset [1] (GUPPD), Version 1 (with the same code number for each city). “objectid” in GUPPD can be joined to “Code” here. Original meteorological and daily NO2 TVCDs at the location each city required for fitting the GAMs or any preferred model are also available as “tropomi_era5_time_series_master”.[1] Center For International Earth Science Information Network-CIESIN-Columbia University & Joint Research Centre-JRC-European Commission.
