1:100k Geological Map – Dataset

The dataset of the Geological Map of Italy at scale 1:100.000 was realised by computerising the last series of every single sheet of the Geological Paper of Italy in analogue/raster format. Daset is composed of several layers: basic geological units, non-cartographable units, tectonics, geomorphological elements, stratimetry, precise geological evidence (fossility, sources, surveys, etc.). All layers are then linked to a general table in which all the information of the legend is summarised, as well as to two special tables in which all the descriptions of the legend and the reference to the graphic file of the geological sections are stored.
