As part of this policy, CERN authors are required to publish all of their peer-reviewed primary research articles open access (by default under a Creative Commons attribution license, i.e. CC-BY-4.0), Peer-reviewed primary research articles are all articles that describe original research and are accepted for publication following a peer-review process. As such, conference proceedings, editorials and secondary sources (review articles, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews, etc.) are not covered by this policy.
