Data Set of Potassium and Other Aerosol Forming Elements in High Quality Wood Pellets

The file includes data on wood pellet composition from 4 different sources, i.e. a pellet screening performed in Germany (Excel sheet 1.1), available data on wood pellet composition at the DBFZ (Excel sheet 1.2), data obtained throughout a European pellet screening (Excel sheet 1.3), and exploitation of unprocessed data sets obtained in the context of the quality assurance of the ENplus certification scheme for wood pellets (Excel sheet 1.4). 1 Pellet quality screening in Germany Samples 1–46 have been obtained from ENplus certified German pellet producers. Wi in the sample ID specifies different production sites and Pi indicates the sampling period (P1: winter production; P2: summer production). For pellet producer 10, 16 and 20 the raw materials and the production process were also sampled (samples 47–91). RMi specifies raw material samples, DVi indicates samples taken over one production day to evaluate the daily variation, and WVi indicates pellet samples obtained over several production days to evaluate the weekly variation. 2 Database of DBFZ Certified wood pellets have been used in various projects at DBFZ. In the context of these projects, fuel analysis has been performed and the respective data sets are summarized in Excel sheet 1.2. 3 Pellet quality screening across Europe 42 bags of commercially available bagged wood pellets were obtained from producers in EU member states whereof 41 samples met the threshold for ash content of wood pellets with A1 quality (≤ 0.7 wt% d.b.) with respect to DIN EN ISO 17225-2. The analysis data for these samples are compiled in Excel sheet 1.3 specifying also the pellet origin and whether the pellet production was certified according to ENplus / DINplus). 4 Pan-European quality assurance data of the ENplus certification scheme As part of the quality assurance of the ENplus certification scheme for A1 wood pellets each certified pellet producer has to provide at least one pellet sample per year to an accredited test laboratory for analysis of quality parameters specified in the standard DIN EN ISO 17225-2, class A1. A data sub-set in response to the search term “wood pellets” for the year 2014 was obtained from the accredited test laboratory (Eurofins Umwelt Ost GmbH, Freiberg / Germany). The data set included 327 samples from 93 different clients. After excluding unsuitable data sets, 127 data sets meeting the threshold for the ash content of wood pellets with a quality according to DIN EN ISO 17225-2, class A1 (≤ 0.7 wt% d.b.) remained which are compiled in Excel sheet 1.4 specifying also the pellet origin. 5 Analysis All samples were analyzed according to the standard DIN EN ISO 17225-2 for solid biofuels though not all parameters were determined for all samples. Analysis was performed either at the analytic laboratory of the DBFZ (data in Excel sheet 2.1 and 2.2 except ash melting behavior) or at the Eurofins laboratory (data in Excel sheet 2.3 and 2.4 and all for ash melting temperatures).
本数据集涵盖来自4类不同来源的木质颗粒成分数据,具体包括:在德国开展的颗粒质量筛查数据(Excel工作表1.1)、德国生物质研究中心(Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum, DBFZ)已有的木质颗粒成分数据(Excel工作表1.2)、全欧范围颗粒筛查获取的数据(Excel工作表1.3),以及针对木质颗粒ENplus认证体系质量保障工作所获原始数据集的二次挖掘数据(Excel工作表1.4)。 1 德国颗粒质量筛查 样本1至46均取自获得ENplus认证的德国木质颗粒生产商。样本编号中的Wi代表不同生产厂区,Pi代表采样时段(P1为冬季生产时段,P2为夏季生产时段)。针对生产商10、16及20,还同步采集了其原材料与生产流程的样本(样本47至91)。其中,RMi指代原材料样本,DVi指代单日内采集以评估日波动的样本,WVi指代多日内采集以评估周波动的木质颗粒样本。 2 DBFZ 认证木质颗粒数据库 本数据集已应用于德国生物质研究中心(DBFZ)的多项研究项目中。依托这些项目完成了燃料成分分析,相关数据集汇总于Excel工作表1.2。 3 全欧颗粒质量筛查 从欧盟成员国的生产商处获取了42袋市售袋装木质颗粒,其中41份样本符合DIN EN ISO 17225-2标准规定的A1级木质颗粒灰分阈值(≤0.7 wt% 干基,dry basis, d.b.)。该批次样本的分析数据汇总于Excel工作表1.3,同时标注了颗粒来源以及其生产是否通过ENplus/DINplus认证。 4 ENplus认证体系泛欧质量保障数据 作为A1级木质颗粒ENplus认证体系质量保障工作的一部分,每家获证颗粒生产商每年需至少提交1份颗粒样本至认可测试实验室,以开展DIN EN ISO 17225-2 A1级标准规定的质量参数检测。从位于德国弗莱贝格的认可测试实验室欧陆环保东方有限公司(Eurofins Umwelt Ost GmbH, Freiberg / Germany)获取了2014年以"木质颗粒"为检索词的数据集子集。该数据集原本包含来自93家合作方的327份样本,经剔除不合格数据集后,剩余127份符合DIN EN ISO 17225-2 A1级木质颗粒灰分阈值(≤0.7 wt% 干基)的样本,相关数据汇总于Excel工作表1.4,同时标注了颗粒来源。 5 分析方法 所有样本均依据固体生物燃料标准DIN EN ISO 17225-2开展检测,但并非所有样本均完成了全部参数的测定。检测工作分别在德国生物质研究中心(DBFZ)分析实验室(相关数据见Excel工作表2.1、2.2,灰熔融行为数据除外)以及欧陆实验室(相关数据见Excel工作表2.3、2.4,且包含所有灰熔融温度数据)完成。
