A curated subset of the COCO 2017 training set containing only images with animal categories. This dataset extracts all images from COCO 2017 `train2017` that contain at least one animal instance, along with their captions, bounding boxes, and category labels. Each example contains the original COCO image ID, PIL Image object, original filename, image dimensions, original URLs, all captions, sorted list of unique animal category names present in the image, bounding boxes in COCO format, and category names corresponding to each bounding box. The dataset includes all COCO categories under the animal supercategory, such as bird, cat, dog, horse, sheep, cow, elephant, bear, zebra, giraffe, and more.
