Multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae due to blaKPC-2 ST307 in Traveler from Puerto Rico

We report blaKPC-2-harboring carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in an emerging sequence type 307 lineage from the Dominican Republic. Isolates in this collection were subjected to phylogenetic analyses, which indicated regional dissemination of this highly drug-resistant clone across the Americas.
