VPRS 11247 Register of Shipping, Control Centre

This series comprises a register of shipping maintained at the Shipping Control Centre between 1 July 1966 and 31 March 1980. The Shipping Control Centre was officially opened in April 1966 at the Victoria Dockhead to regulate shipping movements.Entries were recorded in the register chronologically and comprised the following details:- date- vessel- in OR out- arrival and departure at heads, breakwater, Control Centre- berth- pilot- tugs- remarks.
