A dataset of pausing in Chinese preschool children’s narratives

The dataset were from 60 4-6 years old children's narratives when they tell a story according to the book Frog, where are you. The pausing types and positions in narratives were coded and analysed. The data include 60 children's data about their age, gender, narrative duration, total pausing frequency, pausing position, percentage of four types of pausings and Rave score, PPVT and working memory test scores.本数据集源自60名4~6岁儿童依据绘本《青蛙，你在哪里？》讲述故事时产生的叙事语料。研究人员对叙事过程中的停顿类型与停顿位置进行了编码与分析。数据集涵盖60名儿童的多项观测指标，具体包括年龄、性别、叙事时长、总停顿频次、停顿位置、四类停顿的占比、Rave评分（Rave score）、皮博迪图片词汇测验（PPVT）得分以及工作记忆测验得分。
