Adult germ-free C57BL/6 mice were colonized with fecal microbiota derived from a healthy human donor. At days 1, 7 and 21 post-colonization, DNA from mouse feces was collected, the V3 region of the 16S rRNA gene amplified according to the Surette lab protocol, and sequenced using the Illumina MiSeq platform.
