The purpose of the dataset C. elegans muscle aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of muscles. Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 1 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集为秀丽隐杆线虫肌肉衰老数据集（C. elegans muscle aging），其核心目标为基于肌肉图像推断线虫的实际年龄。该数据集包含按不同实际日龄采集的秀丽隐杆线虫肌肉图像，本次展示的图像属于第1日龄数据集子集。需注意，即便个体遗传背景完全一致，由于个体间存在生理差异，其形态学年龄与实际日龄并无法完全匹配。该数据集的来源为美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）下属美国国立衰老研究所（NIA）遗传学实验室。
