Descriptions of 14 Integrated Home Renovation Service (IHRS) Business Models: A Comparative Business Model Canvas Analysis

This dataset contains structured descriptions of <strong>14 Integrated Home Renovation Service (IHRS)</strong> business models collected as part of the research publication <em>“Integrated home renovation services as a means to boost energy renovations for homeowner associations: A comparative analysis of service providers’ business models.”</em>Each business model is analyzed using the <strong>Business Model Canvas</strong> framework to identify how different service providers <strong>create, deliver, and capture value</strong> in the context of multi-apartment building renovations. The dataset enables cross-case comparison between <strong>publicly led and privately led IHRS providers</strong> and highlights patterns in stakeholder collaboration, financing mechanisms, customer segments, and digital support tools.The cases mainly originate from the <strong>Netherlands</strong> and <strong>Belgium</strong>, with additional long-standing PPP examples from <strong>France</strong> and <strong>Austria</strong> to illustrate mature service approaches and support international learning.Additionally, the dataset includes a <strong>comparative analysis</strong> assessing how each business model tackles specific barriers identified in prior research based on literature review and expert focus groups.
