Media Trial and Justice

Media has the potential to take the lead to ensure administration of justice in a community or country. Though it has controversial role in criminal justice throughout the world but in Bangladesh currently its positive side outweighs the dark one it belongs and acts as a pioneer to ensure justice for the oppressed and helpless one. There is nothing to deny the fact that media is sometimes engaged in making news rather covering but the data presented here collected from various case references, national & international newspapers, journals and news and programs covered by television make it lucid and understandable that what a strong and effective role it can play to ensure justice for everyone irrespective of belief, color and political affiliation. Now in Bangladesh, the power of media in administrating proper justice is tested and the power is positively proved in this regard. This data can be a helpful tool in the hand of the government to strengthen and regulate the media properly so that it can carry on its duty as watchdog to protect the interest of mass people against all kind of malpractice.媒体拥有引领社区乃至国家践行司法公正的潜力。尽管全球范围内媒体在刑事司法领域的角色始终存在争议，但在当下的孟加拉国，其积极影响已然远超负面表现，更是成为为受压迫、无助群体伸张正义的先锋力量。不可否认，媒体有时会热衷于制造新闻而非如实报道，但本数据集收录的数据均源自各类案件档案、国内外报纸、期刊及电视播出的新闻与节目，这些资料清晰展现了媒体能够发挥的强大效能，为所有不论信仰、肤色与政治倾向的群体保障司法公正。目前，孟加拉国已针对媒体在推动公正司法中的作用开展实践检验，并在该领域证实了其积极作用。本数据集可为政府提供有益参考，助力其合理强化并规范媒体行业，使媒体能够切实履行舆论监督职责，守护广大民众的利益免受各类不当行为的侵害。
