Emerging evidence has linked the gut microbiota dysbiosis to transplant rejection. Here we studied the effects of berberine on the gut microbiota of recipient mice. C57BL/6 mice transplanted with BALB/c islets were treated orally with berberine, and caecum microbiota from recipient mice were collected, high-throughput sequencing was performed to analyze the gut microbiota.
