The age model was constructed by correlation of 27 tiepoints between the oxygen isotopic record of Site 983 and a reference signal derived by combining the record of SU90-08 (Vidal et al., 1997 doi:10.1016/S0012-821X(96)00192-6) from 0 to 130 ka with the SPECMAP record of Martinson et al. (1987 doi:10.1016/0033-5894(87)90046-9) for 130 to 350 ka.本年龄模型通过对983站位氧同位素记录与参考信号之间的27个定年控制点开展对比得以构建。该参考信号由两段不同时段的记录组合而成：0~130千年（ka）时段采用SU90-08站位的氧同位素记录（Vidal等，1997，DOI:10.1016/S0012-821X(96)00192-6）；130~350千年时段则采用Martinson等（1987）发表的SPECMAP氧同位素记录（DOI:10.1016/0033-5894(87)90046-9）。
