Dhcr24 (24-dehydrocholesterol reductase)。该基因编码黄素腺嘌呤二核苷酸(FAD)依赖的氧化还原酶，在胆固醇生物合成过程中催化甾醇中间体的delta-24双键的还原。胆固醇是细胞膜的重要组成部分，也是细胞转导信号时必不可少的重要物质，人类中该基因的变异能导致罕见的多组织先天异常综合症。该转基因小鼠可用于Dhcr24对心血管系统的生物学功能相关研究。
